- Your role title/trade within the building industry?
Waterways education and environment officer, conducting erosion and sediment audits and providing training.

- What is involved in training for your role?
Generally an enviornmental degree.

- How/why did you get into your chosen trade?
I have been involved in a few careers, but they eventually led me down this path.

- What obstacles have you overcome on your journey into and through the building industry?
Due to the fact that local government is involved in compliance of the building industry, the biggest obstacle was building trust with industry members.

- Why do you think it is important to help establish a name and better recognised opportunities for females in building?
We all have strengths and weaknesses; the more divesity in any group will minimise weakness and therefore increase the strength of the group.

Moving forward and having environmental issues identified as core business of the industry.

- How do you effectively deal with your workplace culture?
Honesty and respect for others' beliefs.

My first boss while working in the mining industry.
